Street Action - Committed to street children through action and partnership

As the 2010 Football World Cup approaches, our South African partner Umthombo Street Children fears that the authorities will continue to round-up children from the streets. Watch this short film from the BBC

To highlight the concern Umthombo are hosting the first ever Street Child World Cup. Street Action is part of a consortium of UK NGO’s organising this event in partnership with Umthombo. Teams from all over the world, including Brazil and India will compete in a football tournament, but running alongside it will be a conference to look at the issues relating to street children and the lives they live on the streets.
