About Street Action
Our vision is of a world in which no child has to live on the streets. Street Action is committed to supporting local partners working with street children and providing sustainable financial support and promoting the work they do through advocacy and research.
As a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) based in the UK and the USA, we work with local partners to tackle the complex needs of children living on the streets. We are committed to supporting the development of street child organizations in Africa, building connections and links with our Street Action community of supporters around the world.
Street Action’s four key aims are:
- Providing sustainable financial support for local pioneering street child organisations.
- Raising public awareness and promoting the work of our partners.
- Putting street children back on the agenda through advocacy and research.
- Expanding ‘good practice’ models from existing partnerships to support the development new and existing partners in Africa.
Street Actions strategy is founded on the three pillars of supporting our partners, research & advocacy, and humanity connected.
