Beginning to win the battle over round-ups…

Who is Street Action?
Our vision is a world in which no child has to live on the streets. Street Action is committed to supporting local partners working with street children, providing sustainable financial support and promoting the work they do through advocacy and research. We are based in the UK but also operate in the USA. Find out more about Street Action USA by clicking here.
What are Street Children?
The children that our partners work with live on the streets twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week with no parental or adult care or supervision. They are not an ordinary group of children but are defined by their extreme vulnerability, which is heightened by the failure of the general population and public services to recognise them as 'children'.
How does Street Action help Street Children?
We currently work in partnership with local organisations in Burundi and South Africa to tackle the complex needs of children living on the streets. We particularly support local organisations where former street children are playing key roles in the development of more effective strategies.
We seek to empower street children through innovative advocacy and research – driven by our partners.
How can I help?
There are many ways in which you can support us and our partners. The quickest and most direct way of helping us is to donate now. We are building a network of interested and committed people who have time, skills and experience in areas that could benefit the future development of our work in the Burundi, South Africa the UK, USA and elsewhere. Contact us to find out how you could contribute.
